“The time is here to celebrate the enormous amount of GOOD that is being done in our area and around Durban and enough of all the bad news!” Set Ablaze was a unique conference held on Friday, 02 August at CityHill Church. A large crowd arrived to hear the excellent speakers, Cindy Norcott, Eric Tocknell, Dr Lungile Baloyi, Thandeka Mkhize and Candace Davidson and to sing and clap along with the well-known gospel singer, Jolene Joseph. Our dynamic MC, Adele Benvie created a vibrant, fun atmosphere throughout and finished off with many terrific lucky draw prizes.

This was a real celebration as 22 non-profit organisations of excellence exhibited their projects. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things! People who’ve wanted to make their lives count and weren’t sure of where to start were inspired to do what they could with what they have, regardless of their age, income or abilities. There is something that everyone can do, from knitting jerseys for children to building, painting, reading to the aged or the young. The options are endless”. Just start with what you can do, and you’ll be amazed at what happens!

Those who work tirelessly in organisations were set ablaze, re-energised to continue and grow their organisations. People in business came away with loads of new ideas for staff team building and social investment possibilities. The conference offered great opportunities for networking all round!   Our Nation Changers team is very grateful for all who worked so hard to make SET ABLAZE the huge success it was.

Don’t miss out on our Nation Changers Conference next year, watch out for the date. We can all change our nation with one act of kindness at a time.
